Production - Installation Assistant

REQUIREMENTS

-Bilingual, English and French
-2 to 3 years within the cabinetry/woodworking industry
-Proficient with various light and heavy machinery
-Proficient with various handheld power tools
-Experience operating forklift
-Physically fit, able to lift 50 lbs.
-Good mathematical and computational skills
-Proven success in a team environment
-Assertive, out-going and respectful demeanour
-Good interpersonal and communication skills
-High degree of adaptability and attention to detail
-Coachable and willingness to follow instruction
-Able to prioritize and organize
-Enjoys problem-solving situations
-Desire to learn and grow with the company



FUNCTIONS

-Produce and assemble of storage units
-Operate table saw, line border, edgebander, forklift and various hand-held tools
-Assemble custom storage units
-Provide input during planning of customer projects, inventory stocking, etc
-Meet production schedule timelines and quality standards
-Load and unload materials with forklift
-Stock materials in designated storage areas
-Re-organize inventory as needed
-Maintain tools in excellent working condition
-Regularly sweep and maintain warehouse
-Load and unload the company vehicle
-Prepare wall surfaces at for installation, panels, shelves, drawers and other materials
-Assemble, adjust and level shelving and/or storage units
-Clean installed unit(s)
-Assist in maintaining, organizing and restocking toolbox, van and installation hardware
-Attend and contribute to staff and training meetings

Hours per week: 40
Job Status: permanent, full time, daytime
